Frequently Asked Questions

When will orders resume or when will my mold be delivered?     The current production status is always posted on the home page.

Phone number?     There is no phone and I cannot talk and run two or three machines at the same time.   Please try the forum.

Can I visit your shop?     Please don't, it's hard to make molds and talk to people at the same time.

Will you design a bullet for me?   No, but if you mail me a chamber cast or slug I will definitely measure it and let you know the results.

Will you copy a bullet if I send you a sample?   You may be able to use the online design program to copy the bullet.

Do you have standard designs ?   Not at this time.   Someday the design program will have a database of customer designs, but that's a long way off.

Will you make a bullet with extra deep grease grooves?   No, lathe boring is poorly suited to cutting deep grooves.

Will you make a tumblelube bullet ?   No, our standard groove design is much deeper and more steeply angled than a Lee tumblelube design.   Do not attempt to use the online design program to create a tumblelube bullet.

Can you make a spitzer / round nose / Postell ?   Not at this time.

Can you make smooth bullets for paper patching?   I used to but had to restrict the GtoB options because the tumblelube turkeys kept trying to use small GtoB's to copy Lee designs even though I asked them not to.

Will you cut other brands of blocks?   No.

Can you cut a custom design?   If it cannot be created with the online design program, then I cannot do it.

Can you make a hollow base or hollow point?   No.

Can you make a nose pour mold?   No.

Will you cut two designs in the same block?   No.

What about round ball molds?   No.   Try Jeff Tanner

Are handles included?   No.   2XL blocks take the Lee 6-cavity handles.   My other blocks take either the Lee 6-cavity handles or RCBS handles.   Current production Lyman/Saeco (same thing) handles can be modified to fit.

Do you make 4 or 6 cavity molds   No.   Lathe boring is a very slow and unreliable way to cut cavities, best suited to 1 or 2 cavity molds.
