Re: MM 433-375 and 433-400

I've had the MM 433-400GC mold for about 8 years maybe more . Knocked one over with the MM 433-375GC several years ago , but each time I took the Ballard rifled 444 out I was either not seeing anything or loaded with a different bullet . Today I finally got the monkey off that bullets back so to spe...

Re: MM/RD 432-365GC

Plugged a pair with the MM/RD 432-365GC last week ! And as expected they performed up to the task against the man eating whitetails of central Virginia !

Re: MM/RD 432-365GC

Incidently I got 11 this past season . Seven with cast bullets in my two 1-38 444's . One with buckshot in an old Parker 10 gauge . Two with an AR-15 in 50 Beowulf (jacketed). And finally a pair with my newly built 26 Nosler also with jacketed bullets . My best of the year was an eight pointer that ...

Re: MM/RD 432-365GC

Good luck with the regular hunting season, then. :) Well I didn't get to my 365 grainer this past season ! I had 5 bullets lined up for my 24" 1-38 gun and I blooded them all . I had four 300 grain offerings and the 365 grainer for my 19" 1-38 gun . Only shot it once and that was with the...

Re: Stability with Marlin 444 Microgroove 1-38" twist

Couple years ago I did some side by side velocity checks with the same bullet/loads in my 1-38 24" and 19" guns . I got the following averages on the same day . Ranch Dog 432-350GC with 48 grains of H322 . 19" barrel 1975 FPS avg for six shots 24" barrel 2055 FPS avg for six shot...

Re: Stability with Marlin 444 Microgroove 1-38" twist

Well lets see over the course of the last eight or so years I've had you cut me a 375 grain mold , had LBT cut me one and had BRP cut me one in a FN and HP version . I've also had you cut me a 365 grainer . I have a couple versions of the Ranch Dog 350 in FN and HP as well as an LBT in 340 grain . A...

Re: MM/RD 432-365GC

Well we didn't get damage control permits this year so I've not hunted yet .

The rifle is back together and sighted in with 4 different 300 grain bullets and I know the POI for the 432-365GC using the rifle as set !

So this one will be used this year ;)
