Re: Marlin .460 410grs

Will be using these boolits in an upcoming 300m "Basic Rifle" competition. So the cast boolits are going to compete in the same match against jacketed 6,5:s, .308:s and .338:s . I'll get back here with the result. Hopefully i'll manage to beat some of the guys toting custom longrange-rigs ...

Re: Marlin .460 410grs

Time for an update, Tried the boolits at 300m for the first time last friday. Gun is my trusted Marlin 1895g equipped with a Trijicon 1-4x24 scope. Shot a 5-shot group at an international 300m target. Shooting was done "flat on the belly" with a beanbag up front. There`s 50mm(appr 2 inches...

Re: Marlin .460 410grs

Our wildhawgs are runnaways/released from "fenced properties" in the 70`s and 80`s. No one knows how many we got but estimates run from 200 000 to 500 000. We had a real "killerwinter"(3ft snow and -10 to -30celcius) from dec to mars but that didn`t seem to stop the growth of the...

Re: Marlin .460 410grs

Got this nice fallow-stag today. He was "driven" hard by my black dog but one of those superdeadly boolits did the trick 8-) . http://i.imgur.com/fqeaKcQ.jpg I recently tuned my Marlin to function with longer coal so i`ll probably have to order a new mold from Dan shortly  ...

Re: Marlin .460 410grs

Was invited to a combined Moose and Roedeer-hunt and managed to bag this doe. Shot the doe at an appr distance of 35yards. The doe was "driven" HARD by my black dog. My fellow hunters were amazed of the "little cowboy-rifle and its boolits" leathality and especially the extreme a...

Did the same with this boar(90kg) at 01:10 this morning.
Both animals reacted like struck by lightning when hit by THE boolit 8-) .

Re: Marlin .460 410grs

Use the meat just as i would on regular "farm-pigs". The meat has got much lower % of fat though.
Will be getting the testresults from a lab regarding "tricinosis?-worms" tomorrow so no tasting of the meat before that...
Hawg weighed 130kg.
