Re: 433-415GC Huckleberry

6pt, I look forward to hearing your report. Looks like a full day of shooting right there. H322 has been a pleasant powder so far. Accuracy potential is definetley evident. Velocities are little lower than expected but I was kinda hoping to find a mid power accurate load and it looks like 35gr of H3...

Re: 433-415GC Huckleberry

Next load development with Huckleberry is going to be H322 and should happen this week. H335 seemed to me to be more mild shooting with the huckleberry than either the H4198 and RL7.

Re: 433-415GC Huckleberry

Long story about my last two weeks. I'll try to sum it up by saying I experimented with my Lyman M-die with seating depth and that experiment failed. Second issue was that it turned out that 43gr of H335 is a case full with the Huckleberry. I loaded up to 45gr but decided to using anything after 44....

Re: 433-415GC Huckleberry

Latest casting weigh an average of 418gr and that is with added tin/antimony, so I can imagine that straight wheel weight will be right about 420 as designed. I dont think I have found the max load with H335 so I am going to proceed with caution. So far, I have tested this bullet with three powders,...

Re: 433-415GC Huckleberry

For me, I hardly notice the recoil if it wasn't for the fact that I have to re-set after each shot. I Don't feel any sort of discomfort or even a sense of concern about the recoil. I am built kinda like an offensive guard and I kinda like the physical nature of these big bullets.

Man, you aren't kidding! Those engraved "Premier Grade" rifles are incredible works of art. I normally dont get-off on engraved rifles, but those MS rifles are far from cheesy.

Re: MM/RD 432-325GC is a SUCCESS !!!

6pt, I might have to put off the Hamfist for a month or so because I just ordered one mold from Dan last night and then I see Ranch Dog is running a small group buy for four different molds. One is a new and improved 311-165. Well I got in on that, plus all the stuff I need to start casting 30 cal b...

Re: MM/RD 432-325GC is a SUCCESS !!!

6pt, playing with new bullets is sorta contagious huh? Isn't that the truth ! I think the last new mold I had cut was this 432-325GC . Seems like I need to add a copy of your latest and perhaps another one or two ! Yea, I just put in an order fro a 30 cal bullet for my 336 30-30. I wanted to make a...
