Mold Design for 405 WCF for Model 1895 Win.

I used the design you posted in "450 WCF" viewtopic.php?f=7&t=72&p=144&hilit=405+WCF#p144 and changed the weight to 405 grains and the Meplat to 73%. Do you see any potential problems with the design.

Sounds reasonable to me, assuming it is for the Japanese made Winchester. I have no experience with any of the other 405's like the Ruger.

Thanks, I found someone in Alaska (Boolshop) who molds a 410 grain and I believe it's in one of your molds. He sizes them to .414 or .415, says that gives him the best accuracy in his single shot that slugs .4125, my tools aren't that accurate. I'm going to buy some bullets from him and see how they do in my japchester. What do you think is the best size for a .412 bore?

There are many variables in choosing a sizing diameter, but a good starting point rule is 0.002" over groove diameter.
