I have developed a wildcat using RUM brass and .500" bullets. It shoots the Barnes X bullets with with the long unsupported ogive well. I have to turn them down from .510" to .500" though which takes too much time. I want to try a WW mold with the same profile but your program won't let me order the one I have designed. Is there a way around this or is it a no go. I'm looking at 570gr, .500" on the base and front band, .875" nose length, 30% meplat.

Cast bullets play by completely different rules than jacketed or copper bullets.rockymoundarms wrote: It shoots the Barnes X bullets with with the long unsupported ogive well.
A cast bullet needs to be supported. There is no debate on this subject. It has been proven over and over.
The smallest meplat I can cut on a 500 caliber bullet would be 36%, and that only on a short ogive.
