3 cavity mold question

Post by jbquack1 » Sun Nov 09, 2008 8:32 pm

I have a design created for a 350 grain 45 caliber mold, i would like to have one softnose cavity. On the xl mold block it says that i would have an sbs problem using the 3rd cavity for softnose,i read where you have 2xl blocks but they don't show on the design site, would this be an option and what would the cost be for the larger blocks in iron, also would having a soft nose third cavity be as big a concern as a full cavity in the xl block?thanks for your time.

The 3 cavity XL block is well suited for bullets in the 200 - 250 grain range. The maximum is 300 grains. I do not offer a 3-cavity mold for a 350 grain bullet.

I used to make a 2XL block for the big fifty caliber bullets, but there was not much demand, so it was dropped.
