Shotgun slugs

Post by Irishtexan » Tue Mar 03, 2020 7:55 pm

I'm thinking about trying shotgun slugs, only shot factory slugs, is it worth the trouble to see if you can make them shoot accurately, does anyone make custom molds for slugs, any input is appreciated.

At one time Lee and Lyman made a simple 12 ga. mold, and there may have been some special runs.

A 12 ga. does not fit comfortably in my blocks I used to make a few on special blocks with shallow handle slots, but never sold enough to justify the effort so that came to an end.

Other than that, I am not a shotgun man so cannot advise. Other people have done a lot of work with slugs over the years, fully rifled barrels, etc..
