Heck as long as it shoots well on paper say three in 2" or less at 100 . And it's been my experience with the herd of 444's I've used that isn't always that difficult to accomplish . Now of course with wheelweight alloy I've found anything over 315 grains needed to be water quenched . I think air cooled was soft enough that it would not hold the Micro Groove rifling well as I need to push them fairly well to stabalize .
I've got my 1966 Retro 444P set up with no less then four different 300 grain bullets for the upcoming Damage Control hunting , but if I can get this bullet to shoot to suit me in the Retro gun it may jump to the front in the little rifle !
Or it may be held back until actual hunting season arrives
