Meplat size

Working on designing a mold for a lever action and need help with meplat size, love the 70 but think maybe the 50 might cause less jamming issues, your input is appreciated, Irish.

You may be right but it depends on the gun and whether the action has been tuned. Marlins can be uncooperative as they come from the factory but after tuning will feed just about any meplat.

I have no experience with the M94 so you'll have to use your own judgement.

If it's a 30-30 I would assume that the bottleneck would help feeding with even a blunt nose.

If it's a straight wall cartridge then they can be "selective."

Yes it is a straight walled cartridge, going to order the mold now, thanks for your info.
