Observation

Postby mtngun » Mon Sep 11, 2017 6:37 am

I used to try to debunk the many old wives tales about cast bullets, but I came to view it as an exercise in futility, and life is too short to spend it arguing with fools. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Alternative versions;
-- what some random guy on the internet said about cast bullets.
-- what some dead cowboy said about cast bullets.
-- what some convicted felon said about cast bullets.
-- what some gun writer said about cast bullets.
And so on.

Personally, I find cast bullets much more interesting than jacketed bullets, but the sad truth is that these days I spend more time hanging out with the jacketed benchrest community because I learn new stuff from them, whereas the cast bullet community just repeats old wives tales and posts pictures showing how pretty their bullets are. There are exceptions and I'm very grateful for those exceptions.

Heh. Love the cartoon. There’s a lot of truth there. One popular forum has essentially become a wasteland of this very thing.
